Chez Fifi, a new French bistro on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, brings a charming slice of 1930s Paris to New York. Opened by brothers Joshua and David Foulquier in December 2024, the restaurant occupies an intimate two-story townhouse richly designed by Sweden’s Joyn Studio, blending warm mahogany, navy upholstery, and Parisian-inspired details with a subtle Scandinavian touch. The menu mixes classic French dishes with Basque influences, featuring items like foie gras terrine, frogs’ legs, and filet mignon au poivre. Quickly becoming a hotspot, Chez Fifi reflects the neighborhood’s renaissance, appealing to a new, younger, design-savvy crowd.
