Michelin-Starred chefs reimagine Korean seafood for U.S. market at ministry-hosted event.

Five acclaimed Korean fine-dining chefs in New York teamed up at NARO in Rockefeller Center for the K-Seafood Premium Dining Showcase, a collaborative event hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Korea Fisheries Association to introduce high-end Korean seafood to the U.S. market. Culinary leaders including Park Jeong-hyun (Atomix), Shin Chang-ho (Juok), Kim Dae-ik (Jeongsik New York), Kim Ho-young (Ju-a and Muno), and pastry chef Lee Eun-ji (Rize) reinterpreted traditional Korean ingredients into a multi-course meal featuring dishes like soy-simmered eel on kimchi crackers, abalone samgyetang, and seaweed-infused soy caramel ice cream. The gathering highlighted how expanded distribution of fresh Korean seafood could broaden the scope of modern Korean cuisine in American fine dining.
