Chef Salvo Lo Castro, who spent a decade cooking for Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI at the Vatican, is participating in NYC Restaurant Week at his SoHo eatery, Casasalvo. Running from July 20 to August 16, the city-wide summer promotion will feature Lo Castro's Sicilian-Mediterranean cuisine, including a special "gnocchi di Papa Benedetto" inspired by Pope Benedict XVI’s favorite potato dish.
