They include Lex Yard from Michael Anthony, kaiseki spot Yoshoku, and the full-service Peacock Alley Bar.
The Waldorf Astoria New York is reopening after a major renovation that began in 2017, unveiling three new restaurants: Lex Yard, a two-story brasserie led by chef Michael Anthony; Yoshoku, a kaiseki-inspired Japanese spot with chef Ry Nitzkowski; and a revamped Peacock Alley, now a full-service restaurant and bar overseen by Jeff Bell. The historic hotel, which has reduced its rooms from 1,600 to 375 and added 372 residences, is restoring its iconic features like the Queen Victoria clock and Cole Porter’s Steinway piano. The new dining venues offer a mix of classic and contemporary dishes, with Lex Yard serving elevated brasserie fare, Yoshoku focusing on Japanese cuisine, and Peacock Alley featuring both lavish seafood and classic bar snacks, all set to open by mid-July 2025.
