Originally located near East Sixth Street in Manhattan’s East Village which was once inundated with Indian cuisine, Brick Lane Curry House differentiated itself from its neighbors by adding a bit more flash and an English-Indian menu. The whole enterprise is modeled not after U.S. Indian restaurants, but after the curry houses of Brick Lane in London, where curries have replaced crumpets as the national meal. The new Jersey City location brings their vast array of curries and other Indian specialties to a new audience.
