Nōksu, a 13‑seat Korean fine‑dining counter hidden behind an unmarked black door in the Herald Square subway station, offers a $225‑plus tasting menu crafted by chef Dae Kim and reachable only with a daily access code texted to guests. Owners Bobby Kwak and Joseph Ko spent four years refitting the former 1,200‑square‑foot barbershop/newsstand; with no gas line, many dishes lean cold, but the pair say the aim is an intimate, tranquility‑focused experience that distinguishes itself from the bustling Koreatown street above.
