In anticipation of the FIFA World Cup match between Argentina and Spain, representatives from two New York City restaurants, Palermo Argentine Bistro and Boqueria, shared their respective traditional cuisines and watch party plans. Representing Boqueria, Jan Rashford highlighted Spanish specialties like jamón ibérico, sangria, gambas al ajillo, tortilla, paella, and patatas bravas, noting that the restaurant opens at 11 a.m. on Sunday and is also preparing to open a new location at JFK Airport's Terminal 4. Carlos Bosi, executive chef and partner of Palermo, showcased Argentine dishes including tuna tartare, ribeye with salsa criolla and chimichurri, and various empanadas. Bosi mentioned that Palermo operates three locations—Hell's Kitchen, Gramercy, and a new spot in SoHo—which have been busy with patrons enjoying weekend brunch feasts all week long ahead of the Sunday celebrations.
