Lane Li and Chris Wang, the couple behind Brooklyn's popular Noodle Lane, are crossing the bridge to open Rulin in the Union Square neighborhood specializing in Chinese hand-pulled noodles, including Sichuan style Dan Dan Mian (pork, Sichuan veggies, and scallions), Chicken Noodle Soup with pickled vegetables, and signature Rulin Noodles (home-made mustard greens and chicken broth, choice of chicken or duck). All of Rulin’s noodle dishes may also be ordered with dao xiao mian, chewy knife shaved noodles. At the heart of the 40-seat bistro style restaurant are seating zones along the walls, featuring light wood built-in benches, easily movable tables and a red marble bar top.
