OKO is a new project from Trinity Concepts, which has stamped Austin with some of its favorite neighborhood bars, joining forces for the first time with FAM Hospitality Group, known for restaurants steeped in Filipino, Thai and Japanese culinary traditions and flavors, including Soy Pinoy, Koko Ni, Thai Kun, and East Side King. Helmed by Philippines-born, Bronx-reared chef Harold Villarosa, OKO, derived from the native Hawaiian word “oko’a” that means “different”, will introduce Filipino cuisine in a way that is both thrilling in its newness and familiar in its makeup celebrating the diversity within the Filipino culinary journey. A first for Austin.
