Tamarind Tribeca’s monthly lunch menus highlight lesser-known regional specialties in India.
Tamarind Tribeca, a long-standing fixture in New York City’s fine-dining scene, is hosting a monthly regional lunch series designed to showcase the immense diversity of Indian cuisine beyond standard menu staples. Launched in 2010 and revitalized in 2025, the program features rotating prix fixe menus that highlight specific, often underrepresented areas such as Odisha, Punjab, and the Malabar Coast, as well as thematic concepts like the culinary stops along National Highway 44. For $38, diners receive a multi-course meal—including appetizers, entrees, and dessert—intended by owner Avtar Walia to serve as both an accessible meal and a cultural exchange that deepens appreciation for India’s varied regional flavors.
