Autism Speaks has partnered with Chef Franklin Becker to launch Chefs on the Spectrum, a workforce initiative designed to connect autistic adults with professional kitchen careers. Funded by the André Soltner Philanthropic Trust and supported by prominent culinary figures such as Daniel Boulud and Andrew Zimmern, the program aims to address high unemployment among individuals with disabilities while helping restaurants fill critical staffing shortages by matching the structure, precision, and consistency of kitchen work with the unique strengths of autistic individuals.
