Quality Branded and GRT Architects turn the Midtown Manhattan site into a bold, multi-level Mexican restaurant.
Quality Branded has opened Limusina, a 215-seat Mexican restaurant set in a transformed Midtown Manhattan parking garage, created with GRT Architects. Spanning 5,000 square feet across three levels, the design embraces a retro‑futuristic, cinematic vibe influenced by Blade Runner, mixing warm, luminous tones with geometric patterns and rich material contrasts. Highlights include a main bar washed in peach, amber, and pale violet light, an orange‑glowing dining room with monumental chandeliers over a bold black‑and‑white trapezoid marble floor, and custom glass and lighting moments throughout. Hidden features—like a secret 10‑seat room, basalt‑clad restrooms, a “pool” dining level in glossy green, and a second private room in red‑purple travertine—add layers of surprise and theatricality.
