Red Rooster Harlem (310 Lenox Ave.) has unveiled a refreshed dining room with a custom stage and a new slate of weekly residencies that turn the beloved restaurant, bar, and Ginny’s Supper Club into a full-blown cultural venue. Every Monday “Monday Night Live,” co-produced by Broadway veteran Erica Mansfield and recording artist Jeremiah Abiah, lets Broadway performers drop the Times Square polish and share original music, tap, poetry, comedy, and storytelling in an intimate setting. From Tuesday through Thursday, musician-producer Ray Angry curates three distinct nights—“The Art of Swing” (jazz deep-dive Tuesdays), “Spanish Fly” (Latin sounds Wednesdays), and “The Artists Corner” (genre-spanning open-mic Thursdays)—all guided by creative director Lesly Bernard. Founded by Andrew Chapman, Red Rooster continues its mission of honoring Harlem’s heritage by hiring locally, sourcing nearby ingredients, and pairing chef-driven comfort food with performances that celebrate the neighborhood’s past and future, ensuring that every evening feels like a uniquely Harlem cultural experience.
