Solaire Social has announced more vendors joining the food hall’s lineup at the Solaire 8200 Dixon apartment building in downtown Silver Spring.

Overseen by Chef Akhtar Nawab of Hospitality HQ and constructed by Springfield, Va.-based ADI Construction, the multi-vendor food hall was initially slated for a launch last year but is now expected to open this spring.

According to a spokesperson from the Solaire 8200 Dixon apartment building, Solaire Social plans a soft opening for residents in May, followed by a public launch in early June.

Rockville-based food truck Fire Pit Brazilian BBQ, featured in a March episode of the WETA PBS series ‘Signature Dish,’ was announced last year as the first vendor for Solaire Social. Fire Pit’s specialty is picanha steak, according to owner Gui Gonzalez, who hails from Fogo de Chão’s hometown of Porto Alegre, Brazil.
